Community Hour: Remembering the Holocaust
Yom Ha Shoah is Holocaust Remembrance Day. We will explore how to deal with life’s trauma through the story of Bronia Rosen, a survivor of Auschwitz and Begen Bleson concentration camps. Facilitated by Jake Rosen, Artist in residence at Upside Down, and descendant of a Holocaust survivor.
Upside Down’s 5th Birthday Party
Upside Down is turning 5! Come celebrate with a festive block party all day!
We will have limited edition specialty drinks, merch, raffles, and goodies. There will be music, yummy treats, and lots of fun activities.
Community Hour: Art Workshop
Featuring an interview with one of the artists of our current exhibition "Origins". We'll learn how the artist used their craft to understand their personal journey. Then we'll shift to making with hands on projects like painting, drawing and writing.
Community Hour: Upside Down x Inherit Magazine
Upside Down teams up with Inherit Magazine to host a conversation about how to move forward with a healthy mindset and grow in light of understanding our origin stories. Rather than being constrained by the liabilities of our family or culture, we can honor the past and flourish.

Upside Down Shabbat Dinner: Pre-Passover Chametz Fest!
Come join the Upside Down community as we share a meal together, to learn about the Jewish practice of shabbat (rest), and eat lots of artisanal bread before Passover!
On Passover in the Jewish community, we don't eat anything that contains leaven (yeast) for whole week to remember when the Israelites left Egypt quickly, fleeing from slavery.
So before this week long fast from bread, we're going to enjoy really good bread!
